When to Shop
Shopping hours vary by month. Please check our Facebook Page where we actively post times we are open! You may also or text/call for the current schedule: (502) 299-2397. We can also meet for emergency placements outside of the schedule. Please contact us through Facebook, phone or text with your needs. We are able to respond very quickly!
Appointments are Required to Shop!
Please make arrangements to reserve a time to shop. This is needed because our store is well organized but space is limited…we make sure that families have privacy while shopping, and room to move around. We are excited to meet you!
1 | Please Read the Following Policies Before Coming to Shop:
Shoppers will be asked to provide the names and ages of foster/adopted children upon check in, as well as some information about themselves. We also require that you provide some sort of proof of foster/adoptive/kinship status. Examples would be your fostering contract (form 111A), temporary or permanent court custody papers, court adoption decree, or CHFS pay stub. Please bring your paperwork every time you shop (pictures on your phone are acceptable).
Shoppers will be given a guide when checking in.
New placements will receive up to 20 articles of clothing (any combination of shirts, pants, shorts, skirts, dresses, pajamas, onesies), shoes, underwear, etc., along with other supplies based on availability.
Non-new placements will receive up to 14 articles of clothing (any combination of shirts, pants, shorts, skirts, dresses, pajamas, onesies) shoes, and other items based on availability.
Shoppers will be allowed to shop for each child every 60 days. This will allow for seasonal changes and growth of children.
If there are other needs or extenuating circumstances, please feel free to contact us, as those will be considered on an individual basis.
Hope's Closet Equipment Agreement
The items in Hope’s Closet are donated and many are used. The items are provided to foster, adoptive, and kinship parents free of charge. All items are provided AS IS and with NO WARRANTY. THERE IS NO WARRANTY THAT THE GOODS WILL BE FIT FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THERE IS NO WARRANTY THAT THE GOODS ARE MERCHANTABLE. By accepting any item from Hope’s Closet, the undersigned, on behalf of himself/herself, the foster/adoptive child, and their heirs, successors, or assigns, agrees to accept all risks of injury or damage associated with any item, assumes all liabilities and hold harmless, release, and covenant not to sue Hope’s Closet, Angela Bischoff, Jen Mortenson, volunteers, insurers, any and all persons acting on their behalf, and the families of any of the aforesaid, from any and all liability from any claims, debts, liabilities, demands, obligations, costs, expenses, actions, and causes of actions of every nature, character, and description, known or unknown, included but not limited to liability for negligence for any personal injury or property damage which might be suffered, and for any wrongful death or survival action. NO WARRANTY WHATSOEVER IS MADE FOR ANY ITEM, including but not limited to car seats, booster seats, strollers, cribs, and any other safety item.
